Politico corrects one Wiles story while rejecting White House demands

Politico corrected one report about White House chief of staff Susie Wiles while rejecting administration demands over three articles, TheWrap reports. Its lawyers said further reporting justified clarifying Wiles’ involvement in arranging a Fox News appearance, while the outlet stood by the other disputed accounts.

The White House had demanded corrections or retractions, an apology and removal of the reporting from Politico’s archives. Politico’s response defended transparent corrections and accused the administration of attempting to intimidate the newsroom.
