Private Equity Firm CVC May be Considering Flint Group IPO

By: E&P Staff London-based private equity firm CVC Capital Partners Ltd. is considering an initial public offering of Luxembourg-based Flint Group in Germany next year, according to Bloomberg News.

Citing two unidentified persons familiar with the matter, Bloomberg's Aaron Kirchfeld, reports this morning from Frankfurt, Germany, that the owner of the second-largest ink maker has hired a Swiss firm to advise on a share sale.

Neither Flint nor CVC offered comment. But Bloomberg cites a remark by CVC's German head, Steven Koltes, that Flint could be "highly attractive" for investors.

Created when CVC joined Flint Ink with German and Swedish companies several years ago, Flint Group recorded $3.6 billion in sales lat year.
