David Sommers, the inaugural publisher of the Rogue Valley Times (Medford, Oregon), has announced he is stepping down from the position and will be leaving EO Media Group, the privately held, family-owned company that launched the Times early last year after the sudden closure of the Mail Tribune in Medford.
Sommers served in a dual role, as publisher of the Times, and as part of EO Media Group’s executive leadership team, serving as chief revenue officer for the company, which owns and operates over a dozen local newsrooms and publications in Oregon and Washington.
