Reorganized 'Liberation' Installs EidosMedia's Methode

By: E&P Staff As part of its reorganization, Paris-based Liberation is installing a publishing system based on the Methode multiple-media platform from EidosMedia, Milan, Italy.

Serving approximately 200 newsroom users the system will be used to produce both the print and online editions of the daily from a common editorial workflow. Lib?ration was the first daily in France to produce an online edition.

Calling the new system "a key factor in the renewal and relaunch of the paper," General Manager Denis Pierrard said in a statement: "The streamlining of editorial processes and the synergies we expect to achieve will provide a solid basis for the future development of the title."

EidosMedia develops knowledge-management and publishing systems for media organizations. Based on XML, CSS and SVG standards, object-oriented technology and distributed, multi-tier architecture, Methode allows content to be published simultaneously through multiple channels from print and Web to broadcast and syndication, while providing an enterprisewide resource-management platform and highly configurable workflow environment.
