'San Diego Union-Tribune' Hires Editorial Writer/Columnist

By: E&P Staff Ruben Navarrette Jr. has joined The San Diego Union-Tribune as an editorial writer, editorial board member, and twice-a-week columnist.

Navarrette's syndicated columns have appeared in the Union-Tribune regularly during the past four years. He most recently worked for The Dallas Morning News, where he has been an editorial writer and editorial board member since 2000.

His first column for the Union-Tribune will appear Wednesday, Feb. 2, and his columns will be published every Wednesday and Sunday. In addition, his columns are syndicated nationally by The Washington Post Writers Group.
