'San Diego Union-Tribune,' Monster.com Launch Co-branded Site

By: E&P Staff The San Diego Union-Tribune is teaming up with online job search site Monster.com to launch a new co-branded Web site via the Union-Tribune's redesigned Web site, SignOnSanDiego.com.

The alliance, announced on Monday, will give Union-Tribune readers access to Monster?s online tools, resources and advice, and will connect local job seekers with hiring companies.

The co-branded site will give companies the opportunity to advertise online and in print, as well as access to Monster?s resum? database and recruitment tools. Monster has similar alliances with more than 400 daily and weekly newspapers, including The Boston Globe and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, as well as more than 100 television outlets.

"The resources and expertise of Monster will add to the expert journalism and existing content on SignOn San Diego making it the place to go not only for starting your day, catching breaking news while it happens or finding out what to do in San Diego, but also for a complete array of resources for job seekers and employers," Mike Hodges, general manager for SignOn San Diego and vice president of interactive for The San Diego Union-Tribune, said in a statement.
