Serioustec Adds 3GVision Reader, Tools to Dakode

Posted
By: E&P Staff As part of its Dakode mobile publishing and 2D barcode tracking platform, Serioustec, Or Yehuda, Israel, has adopted the barcode reader and backend tools of 3GVision, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dakode allows publishers to quickly integrate 2D barcodes to mobile content, enabling them to publish interactive content designed for various mobile phones, and to create, manage and track cross-media campaigns linking print to online, via the mobile Internet.

With 3GVision's reader installed, a mobile camera phone can scan or snap barcodes printed in newspapers, and the phone's browser activates, automatically directing users to a Web site linked to the barcodes. This gives readers access to coupons and other content without entering long URLs or scrolling through irrelevant content. Readers also can easily follow news and get real-time updates by clicking on the codes. Readers also may post comments via their mobile phones.

To further facilitate rapid and effective editorial content and advertising, Dakode is powered by 3GVision's i-nigma, an end-to-end 1D/2D mobile barcode solution incorporating code-scanning software for the phone itself, and a simple code-creation, campaign-management and metrics-reporting platform. The software provides advertisers with tracking tools to overcome challenges of managing and planning campaigns, particularly real-time insight on performance and the target audience.
