The People-Sentinel in Barnwell, South Carolina, has some big news—it is returning to local ownership.
Barnwell native Jonathan Vickery, who is currently the newspaper's editor, has entered into an agreement with the current owner, a subsidiary of Gannett Media Corp., to take over ownership on July 1.
