Texas APME Awards Announced

By: (AP) The Texas Associated Press Managing Editors presented several journalism awards Sunday at its annual meeting, including Newspapers of the Year and the AP staff awards.

Winners in the Texas APME Headliners Excellence in Journalism Awards contest were announced Saturday. Winning entries for these awards will be submitted to a panel of judges selected by the Headliners Foundation, who will select an overall winner in each category. Winners will be announced at a ceremony later this year at the Headliners Club in Austin.

The awards listed below are those announced Sunday.
