Three Exec Appointments at Creo Americas

By: E&P Staff Creo Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia, appointed three new members of the Creo Americas management team as a result of its consolidation of North American operations.

David J. O'Brien is now vice president of operations and finance for Creo Americas. He is also responsible for human resources and legal functions for Creo Americas. O'Brien joined Creo in 1999 and has held positions that include production manager, project manager, and operations director. Most recently he served as acting vice president of finance and operations for Creo Japan. Before joining Creo, O'Brien was operations manager with Iotron Technologies, in Vancouver.

Barry G. Quart was promoted to marketing vice president. He has served as project manager, product manager, director of commercial and publication workflow products, and product marketing vice president. Before joining Creo in 1997, Quart worked with Alcatel Canada, managing software products and projects for complex train and subway signaling-control applications, the London Underground, and the Vancouver SkyTrain.

Based in Dallas, Filip Buyse was appointed Creo Americas sales vice president. Most recently managing director of global accounts, responsible for overseeing business with Creo's largest customers, Buyse earlier served as business development vice president, focusing on the Networked Graphic Production initiative. Before joining Creo, he was worldwide sales vice president for Printcafe, after an extended career with Heidelberg Web Systems.
