By: E&P Staff Nick Anderson isn't coloring his editorial cartoons while he recovers from a fractured right thumb, which is in a cast that's scheduled to be removed in about two weeks.
The 2005 Pulitzer Prize winner temporarily dropped color -- which he adds in a labor-intensive process using Corel Painter software -- because it takes him twice as long to draw with the cast.
Anderson discussed his injury in a video that can be seen on
his blog. The video was mentioned today on DailyCartoonist.com.
The Houston Chronicle staffer is syndicated by the Washington Post Writers Group. Anderson is also president-elect of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists.
