TV Tribute to Cronkite, the CBS Anchor Who Was Also a Columnist

By: E&P Staff A TV special titled "That's the Way It Is: Celebrating Cronkite at 90" will air this Friday on CBS.

Walter Cronkite, of course, is the former "CBS Evening News" anchor who began his journalism career in the 1930s at various newspapers and radio stations before covering World War II for United Press International.

He also wrote a weekly King Features Syndicate column, from 2003 to 2004, that ran in 186 newspapers.
