AM radio legislation awaits post-election Senate action

Broadcasters’ campaign to require AM radio in vehicle dashboards will extend into the Senate’s post-election session after lawmakers adjourned without voting on the measure, Inside Radio reports. The House approved the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act last month.

The bill has broad Senate support, but it must compete with other unfinished legislation when senators return the week of November 9. Broadcasters now face a narrower window to turn that support into passage before the congressional session ends.
