Warner Miller Montgomery, Ph.D., co-owner and past president of The Columbia Star newspaper in South Carolina, passed away Nov. 24 from complications of advanced dementia. He was 84.

Warner died peacefully in the skilled nursing care center of Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community in West Columbia, South Carolina, with his wife and son by his side.
