By: E&P Staff The McDuffie Mirror of Thomson, Ga. has named Todd Rainwater as its new publisher. His appointment was announced Thursday afternoon and is effective Monday.
Rainwater previously served as advertising representative and circulation manager of the twice-weekly McDuffie Progress from 1989-1991, and served as publisher of that paper from 1996-1999. He most recently served as publisher and advertising manager of the Easley Progress, Powdersville Post and Pickens Sentinel, weekly newspapers in Easley, S.C.
"We?re very happy to be bringing Todd back to Thomson," Don Bailey, president of The Augusta Chronicle, told the Mirror. "We?re extremely fortunate to find someone with his experience in the newspaper business and knowledge of the McDuffie County community to take The McDuffie Mirror forward."
The Mirror is owned by Morris Publishing Group LLC, which also publishes The Chronicle.
