The Wall Street Journal has hired Olivia Beavers to cover Congress.
Beavers is a congressional reporter for POLITICO, focusing on House Republicans and GOP leadership.
She first joined the Congress team on Jan. 3, 2021, as author of the Huddle newsletter. Just three days in, Beavers was the first to author an inside-the-room perspective hours after being trapped in the House chamber during the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
